The series Psychogeographies understands the city through mental maps, interior geographies, psychological plots. We try to internalise the city through our thoughts and memorise urban sketches through memories.

Maps that are formed in our minds in the form of collages, of routes that we habitually take in cities. A dermal patchwork of our shelter as a social being: the city.

The work carried out is located within a situationist framework, led by the philosophy of Guy Debord. Urban drift proposes a reflection on the ways of seeing and experiencing the city, where emotions and wandering constitute the process of this artistic practice.

In the works Refugio we build an inner city, an urban skin made of silicone elastomer on the inside and felt on the outside (a material that shows the protective nature of the piece) and acts as a support for this urban dermis, flaccid and flexible. A fabric that takes the form of a sleeping bag where the human scale is evident, where the individual is able to spend the night and generate his most primitive protection in this wandering around the city. It is the city that shelters our most immediate social skin.

Shelter understood as a space that generates shelter, protection.
The city as the protection of man, as the refuge of civilisation.
The urban fabric as a weave with which to pattern garments, in this case, a sleeping bag.

The polyptych Relieve psicogeográfico is constructed as a patchwork of urban fragments, of scraps of memory, of lived spaces. Contours of urban skins, made of elastomer, arranged on a felt cloth and connected by embroidered threads of continuous and discontinuous lines, three-dimensionally draw an emotional, psychogeographical and situationist map.
