Cloudscape interprets the city as a complex system, a network of nodes, links and connections capable of visualising the multiple layers it contains. We need to consider new methods of analysis, modelling and simulation that reflect the increasing complexity and interconnected nature of our times. A complex system is defined by a large number of interconnected elements that dynamically fluctuate in their areas of action. This radical change in the way we think about the world is articulated around the concept of network or network thinking. Networks are not only omnipresent structures but also symbols of autonomy, flexibility, collaboration, diversity and multiplicity. We move and live in networks, today's city is a network-city. This multimedia and sound installation contemplates the landscape as a living, pulsating organism; a fragile and crystalline entity, connected to each other by lines of light that appear and disappear, enhancing the dynamic, yet intangible, character of the territory. Points, lines and surfaces that represent cities, physical and digital connection axes and environmental systems.
