Mobility maps. Patronando Madrid constructs a large three-dimensional map in which a multitude of lines intersect rhizomatically, representing the daily geographies of a hundred anonymous citizens on their usual routes through the city. The installation is based on the cards of each one of the registers where an embroidery of red thread shows us their daily trajectory. A systematic and precise way that is blurred in the great cartography that seems to fly over our heads. The methodology of this project is based on the collection of real data in order to carry out the broadest possible sampling of the population, within the geographical framework of the metropolitan area of Madrid.

"Esther Pizarro constructs a large map, on which a multitude of lines that represent the daily geographies of a hundred anonymous citizens cross, and next to it, the record cards are shown to carry out each of these routes. The result is this enormous installation that shows these impossible routes, these maps of unreality. They show how the epicentre of his work has shifted from his own subjective experience to the collective one".
